UN, CELAC, and other international organizations: Election supervision on July 1st, 2012 in Mexico.

Inspect legality and transparency in elections in Mexico. July/1/2012
Open letter from the people of Mexico to the UN,
United Nations’ Department of Political Affairs, through its Electoral Assistance Division (EAD) The people signing this petition, men and women from the country of Mexico; requesting to the United Nation’s Department of political Affairs, through its Electoral Assistance Division, the following:
The intervention of a committee to inspect and ensure the legality and transparency of the elections to be held on July 1, 2012 in Mexico.
The citizens of this country are witnessing a process of election campaigns, which display in the mass media does not match what it’s seen, heard, and lived every day in cities, towns, villages and streets of our Mexico . There are half-truths, truths disguised, sometimes hidden or forcibly disappeared. This planted in us the fear that there is a manipulation on the outcome of the elections to happen next.
We do not want to live in the same environment of 2006, when it was spoken of an “alleged” voter fraud. We have the right of international institutions to have access to information and the electoral mechanism for attesting to the existence of a true democracy in our society.
As mentioned above, and for other reasons which individuals can add to this letter to carry out this intervention, we consider it is imperative to support the United Nations Organization and other international institutions to take part in the political exercise of our country.
Because we are millions of Mexicans who DO NOT want to be victims of electoral fraud. Because we have reasons to fear the imposition of a government that most of us reject. Because we are a country that cries out for justice wound. Because we love Mexico.
